Prince Harry's bold citizenship statement sparks questions about royal titles
Prince Harry, who resides in California, has announced that he is considering the possibility of becoming a citizen of the United States, according to People.
Prince Harry, who moved to California four years ago and relinquished his senior royal duties, has stated that he will consider becoming a full citizen of the United States.
But there are nuances, as if the prince dares to take such a serious step, especially at a time when his father is undergoing cancer treatment, he may lose all royal titles and privileges, which he still retains after leaving London, and even provoke a new family scandal.
According to the law, upon obtaining American citizenship, the Duke of Sussex will be required to renounce allegiance to any other state, meaning a renunciation of allegiance to his father.

It is unlikely that after such an act, Harry, along with his family, will be able to mend relations with his father, brother, and other members of the royal family. And, as it is known, the prince has been contemplating reconciliation lately.
"The American citizenship is a thought that has crossed my mind but certainly not something that is a high priority for me right now," the prince said.
However, according to an expert, Harry may ask the US Congress to pass a private bill that would allow him to retain his titles, but for this, he must consider a personal appeal and weigh all the pros and cons.
After King Charles III was diagnosed with cancer, Harry flew in for a private meeting with his father to make sure he was in satisfactory condition. However, the meeting lasted very briefly.
