President's Office criticizes West after Russia's attack on Trypillia power plant
Advisor to the head of the Presidential Office Mykhailo Podolyak criticized Western countries for failing to respond to the destruction of the Tripoli thermal power plant after the Russian attack on April 11.
According to him, the West needs to understand that Russia is waging a war against civilians, and he complained about the lack of condemnation from the international community.
"The Russians have completely destroyed one of the largest thermal power plants in Europe. But we don’t see any resolutions from the security council in the UN or any other proclamations like that," he said.
Attack on the Trypillia thermal power plant
On April 11, Russian troops launched another massive attack on Ukraine, using both drones and missiles, including Kinzhals. Once again, energy facilities in four regions of Ukraine came under attack.
In particular, the Russian attack completely destroyed the Trypillia thermal power plant located in Kyiv region. Until recently, Trypillia TPP was the largest supplier of electricity to Kyiv, Cherkasy and Zhytomyr regions. Later, it turned out that the massive Russian attack on April 11 destroyed all of Centrenergo's generation.
