Preparing to strike Fordow? US sends bombers, NYT reveals

The White House stated that President Donald Trump has not yet made a final decision on direct US involvement in a military operation against Iran. However, the relocation of B-2 bombers from Missouri to Guam Air Base in the Pacific indicates serious preparations for a possible escalation, according to The New York Times.
The US military has moved several B-2 strategic bombers from Missouri to Guam Air Base in the Pacific. This comes amid the possibility of the US joining Israel’s strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities, including the Fordow plant.
The B-2 bombers can carry the massive GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator bombs - among the few weapons capable of destroying the heavily fortified underground Fordow facility, which is carved into the mountains.
At the same time, the White House stated that President Donald Trump has not yet made a final decision regarding US involvement in a military operation, but the deployment of B-2 bombers indicates serious preparation for a possible escalation.
President Trump was scheduled to meet with his national security team at the White House on Saturday evening to discuss the possibility of joining Israel’s attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities.
Israel-Iran conflict
Israel is strongly opposed to Iran’s development of nuclear weapons, fearing it could shift the balance of power in the region.
That’s why, on the night of June 13, the Israeli Air Force launched a massive strike on Iran’s military and nuclear sites as part of Rising Lion. The goal of the attack was to disable key elements of Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, ballistic missile production facilities, and other military targets.
For example, during the latest wave of strikes, one of the main targets was a centrifuge manufacturing plant for uranium enrichment in Isfahan. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has already confirmed that the nuclear site in Isfahan was hit.
Incidentally, Iran’s Supreme Leader has prepared three successors in case of his assassination.
