Pregnant civilian wounded in Russian drone strike on Sumy

Russian forces carried out a strike on Ukraine’s Sumy region on Sunday, June 8, injuring several women, including a pregnant woman, according to the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
Today, a strike drone, likely a Lancet, hit the territory of the Nedryhailiv community in the Romny district.
As a result of the attack, two women were injured: a 43-year-old and a 28-year-old. One of the victims is pregnant. Vehicles and shops were also damaged. All relevant services are currently working at the site.

According to the Sumy Regional Military Administration, the enemy also carried out strikes on the Esman community this morning. The occupiers used multiple launch rocket systems and FPV drones. One person was injured in the attack, and residential buildings caught fire.

Overnight attack on Ukraine
Last night, Russian forces launched three missiles and 49 drones at Ukraine. Air defense units shot down 40 of the drones.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the main directions of the attack were Kharkiv and Donetsk regions. Strikes were confirmed at five locations.
