Powerful explosions rock Dnipro and Kharkiv amid ballistic missile threat

Loud explosions were heard in Dnipro and Kharkiv during the night of July 26. The military had issued warnings about ballistic missile threats and detected high-speed targets, according to Suspilne News and the Ukrainian Air Force.
At 1:27 AM Kyiv time, an air raid alert was declared in Kyiv and several other regions of Ukraine. At the same time, the military warned of a potential ballistic missile threat from the south.
Shortly afterward, the Ukrainian Air Force reported the detection of high-speed targets over the Kharkiv region. They later specified that missiles were heading toward Dnipro, Kharkiv, Kamianske, and Kremenchuk.
However, Suspilne reported explosions only in Dnipro and Kharkiv. Notably, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov confirmed the missile strike on the city. According to him, two missiles hit outside the city limits, while one struck within the city itself. The regional administration later clarified that the ballistic missile landed in the Kyivskyi district.
Additional explosions were also reported in Dnipro.
