In the early hours of July 31, loud explosions were heard in Kyiv. The military issued a missile threat alert and reported high-speed targets, according to an RBC-Ukraine correspondent.

At 4:29 AM Kyiv time, an air raid alert was declared in Kyiv for the second time that night. Alerts also sounded in the Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Poltava, and Kharkiv regions.

At the same time, the military reported a missile threat.

A few minutes later, the Air Force confirmed that cruise missiles had entered through the Chernihiv region and were heading toward the capital.

At 4:40 AM Kyiv time, explosions were heard in Kyiv, likely caused by Iskander-K missiles.

Massive Shahed drone attack on Kyiv

In the early hours of July 31, Russia launched a large-scale drone strike on Kyiv, injuring several people, including children.

The Solomianskyi district was the most heavily affected by the drone raid, with additional damage reported in the Sviatoshynskyi district.

RBC-Ukraine has compiled all known information about the drone attack on the capital.

Earlier, Bundeswehr Major General Christian Freuding, head of Germany’s situational center for Ukraine at the Ministry of Defense, stated that Russia intends to launch up to 2,000 drones simultaneously against Ukraine.
