POW families receiving calls: Coordination HQ warns of renewed Russian PSYOP

A new wave of calls to relatives of Ukrainian prisoners of war has been recorded. Unknown individuals are attempting to exert pressure and manipulate their trust, according to the Telegram channel of the Coordination Headquarters for Prisoner of War Affairs.
According to the Coordination Center, unknown persons encourage relatives of Ukrainian prisoners of war to send electronic appeals to state and international institutions, send evidence in private messages, and distribute these "instructions" in chats of families of missing persons.
For "convenience", the fraudsters provide an indicative test of appeals and a list of institutions that should be contacted:
- Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War;
- National Information Bureau;
- International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC);
- Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights;
- US Presidential Administration.
"These actions have nothing to do with the official mechanisms of prisoner of war exchange. This is another information and psychological operation of the aggressor aimed at sowing panic, destabilizing society, and discrediting government agencies," the Coordination Center adds.
Prisoner exchange between Ukraine and Russia
During negotiations in Istanbul on June 2, the delegations of Ukraine and Russia agreed on a second large-scale prisoner exchange. According to the head of the Ministry of Defense, Rustem Umerov, the parties agreed to exchange all severely wounded and seriously ill prisoners of war, as well as all military personnel aged 18 to 25.
Additionally, Kyiv and Moscow agreed on the return of 6,000 bodies of fallen soldiers from each side.
