Population of Donetsk region sharply decreased: Reason revealed
The population of the temporarily occupied Donetsk region has sharply decreased. It is now known that the losses have reached half a million residents, according to the Center for National Resistance.
"The population of the temporarily occupied Donetsk region has decreased to half a million. Such data was announced by representatives of the Russian occupation authorities of the seized region of Ukraine," stated the Center for National Resistance (CNR).
According to CNR, the enemy primarily explains this by the necessity to evacuate locals to "safe" regions of Russia. However, according to CNR's opinion, the real reason lies elsewhere.
"Collaborators cannot admit that their filtration measures, regularly conducted since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, have caused people to disappear. Nevertheless, they are keeping records of those who have gone missing during evacuations," CNR added.
Life under occupation
We've previously reported that Russian occupiers threaten Ukrainians with deportation for refusing Russian passports.
Additionally, Russians are raising transportation fees in the Donetsk region despite the dismal condition of minibusses.
At the same time, utility tariffs are being raised in temporarily occupied territories to accelerate passportization efforts.
