Popular translator blocked for Russians without any warning: Details

Russians and Belarusians cannot use the popular translator DeepL. It has been blocked in the territories of Russia and Belarus, according to The Moscow Times.
According to the news agency, Russians and Belarusians complain that instead of a translation, they see the message in DeepL: "This service is not available in your region." Citizens of both countries also cannot use the app.
At the same time, the company has not explained why the translator was blocked.
As The Moscow Times writes, more than half a billion people worldwide have used the company’s services.
What is known about DeepL
DeepL is a popular online translator developed by the German company DeepL GmbH. It is based on artificial intelligence technology and neural network algorithms.
The founder and CEO of DeepL GmbH is Polish businessman Jarosław Kutyłowski.
Since its launch in 2017, DeepL quickly became popular thanks to its ability to "understand" the context of the text and provide grammatically and stylistically correct phrases.
In December last year, the Russian authorities blocked Viber, claiming that the app allegedly violated Russian laws.
