The movement of trucks through the checkpoint between Ukraine and Poland Yahodyn-Dorohusk may be complicated. The reason is a protest action from the Polish side, according to the State Border Guard Service.

According to the information received from the Polish border guards, today, a protest action by Polish carriers may begin in the direction of the Dorohusk checkpoint, which is opposite the Ukrainian Yahodyn checkpoint.

The Polish side reported that in connection with such actions, the passage of freight vehicles will be carried out at a frequency of one vehicle per hour for entry and one for exit.

Buses and trucks transporting humanitarian aid will be allowed to pass without hindrance. It is preliminarily stated that the actions of Polish carriers may last for 4 months.

As of now, the movement of freight vehicles is carried out without changes. However, drivers are asked to take this information into account when planning to cross the border through Yahodyn-Dorohusk.

The SBGS will additionally inform about the situation in this direction.

Protests of Polish farmers and border blockade

In 2023, the first wave of blockades started at the Ukrainian-Polish border, during which Polish protesters demanded the restoration of the permit issuance system for Ukrainian carriers. These actions caused serious disruptions in logistics chains, particularly in the agricultural sector and other industries.

After a series of negotiations between Kyiv and Warsaw in April 2024, the movement of freight transport through the border was resumed, but Polish farmers later resumed blockades several times.
