Polish presidential election: 100% of votes counted, runoff candidates confirmed

Poland's State Electoral Commission has announced the results of the first round of the presidential election. Rafał Trzaskowski and Karol Nawrocki will advance to the next round, the Polish Press Agency (PAP) reports.
According to the voting results, the following candidates proceed to the second round of the presidential election:
- Civic Platform candidate Rafał Trzaskowski received 31.36% of the vote;
- Law and Justice candidate Karol Nawrocki received 29.54% of the vote.
- Trzaskowski received the highest number of votes in the Lubusz (40.49%), West Pomeranian (40.31%), and Pomeranian (38.05%) voivodeships, while Nawrocki led in the Subcarpathian (42.77%), Świętokrzyskie (39.94%), and Lublin (39.02%) voivodeships.
Regarding other candidates:
- Confederation candidate Sławomir Mentzen received 14.81% of the vote;
- Confederation of the Polish Crown candidate Grzegorz Braun - 6.34%;
- Third Way candidate Szymon Hołownia - 4.99%;
- Razem (Together) candidate Adrian Zandberg - 4.86%;
- New Left candidate Magdalena Biejat - 4.23%.
Presidential election in Poland
On Sunday, May 18, Poland held the first round of the presidential election. Thirteen candidates competed for the presidency.
According to opinion polls, the liberal Mayor of Warsaw, Rafał Trzaskowski, and Karol Nawrocki - Head of the Institute of National Remembrance and backed by the right-conservative party - were the top contenders expected to reach the second round.
