"We have been supporting Ukraine from the very beginning of the war and will continue," he wrote.

The minister added that Poland will begin supplying weapons to the combat formations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

"These are thousands of machine guns and millions of rounds of ammunition that will enable the defenders of Ukraine and Europe to fight effectively," added Kamiński.

Military aid from Poland

Poland has been providing military assistance to Ukraine since the beginning of Russia's invasion. During this time, they have delivered hundreds of tanks and have also committed to supplying Ukrainian fighters with a batch of armored personnel carriers.

Previously, Poland provided Ukraine with at least 14 MiG-29 fighter jets. Brigadier General Oleksiy Hromov, Deputy Chief of the Main Operations Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, confirmed that Ukraine is already using the MiG-29 fighter jets provided by Poland and Slovakia.

Recently, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal held talks with his Polish counterpart, Mateusz Morawiecki. They discussed military assistance to Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Germany and Poland are in the final stages of negotiations to establish a repair center for Leopard tanks, transferred to Ukraine.
