US-Europe conflict
Last week, during the Munich Security Conference, US President’s Special Representative Keith Kellogg stated that he does not see Europe at the negotiating table regarding the war in Ukraine.
EU countries criticized the US position. Following the Munich conference, French President Emmanuel Macron initiated an emergency summit.
It is known that next week, Macron will travel to the US. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is also expected in Washington.
According to The Telegraph, he will present Trump with a plan to deploy 30,000 European troops to Ukraine in the event of a ceasefire agreement. The outlet also reports that Starmer will urge Trump to keep US fighter jets and missiles in Eastern Europe in case Russia violates the truce.
