Polish factory producing drones for Ukraine catches fire overnight

A fire broke out overnight in Poland at a factory that manufactures drones for the Ukrainian and Polish armies. Security cameras captured a person wearing a balaclava sneaking onto the factory grounds, according to Onet.
The fire broke out on the night of August 31 in the Polish city of Skarżysko-Kamienna at a WB Electronics plant. The fire was reported around 12:23 a.m.
At the same time, a security company operator notified the police that an intruder alarm had been triggered on the factory premises.
The regional office of the State Fire Service reported that the fire was minor.
Police added that the factory was not operating at the time of the fire, so no one was injured.
A backpack and a hoodie, which may have belonged to a person involved in the fire, were later found near the plant.
According to unofficial reports, surveillance cameras captured an unidentified individual wearing a balaclava who entered the plant's premises by climbing over the fence.
"ABW officers are working to determine with certainty whether this was an act of sabotage," said Jacek Dobrzyński, spokesperson for the coordinator of the special services.
WB Electronics
WB Electronics is Poland's largest private defense company. The company manufactures, among other things, FlyEye and Warmate drones, which are used by the Ukrainian military.
The plant in Skarżysko-Kamienna manufactures composite structures and control systems for unmanned aerial vehicles.
On August 13, an explosion and fire occurred at an ammunition plant near Rome owned by KNDS Ammo Italy, which collaborates with Ukraine.
The fire broke out in the gunpowder pressing shop. No one was injured.
Meanwhile, Serhii Pashynskyi, chairman of the National Association of the Ukrainian Industry (NAUDI), spoke about the restructuring of Ukraine's defense-industrial complex during Russia's full-scale invasion.
According to him, the production capacity of private manufacturers already exceeds the volume of government orders, and Ukraine has not yet implemented a mechanism for controlled arms exports.
