Russian forces attacked a nine-story residential building in Kyiv during the day on September 9. Police showed the aftermath of the drone’s direct strike, according to Kyiv police.
A Russian drone damaged a nine-story residential building in Kyiv’s Dniprovskyi district. It struck the building directly, sparking a fire.
Police officers, State Emergency Service rescuers, medics and other emergency personnel are working at the scene.
According to law enforcement officials, the fire engulfed rooms from the first to the fourth floor of the nine-story building.

A 70-year-old resident of the building was killed in the attack. Four other people were injured, including a 74-year-old woman, a 69-year-old man and two minors — a 16-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy.

Emergency services continue to work at the site of the strike. Law enforcement officers are documenting the aftermath of the Russian attack, while information on the number of casualties is still being clarified.
Earlier on September 9, a Russian drone struck a nine-story residential building in Kyiv’s Dniprovskyi district. A fire broke out in the residential building as a result of the drone strike.
That same day, Russian drone attacks sparked fires in several districts of Kyiv. According to preliminary information, one of the drones struck a warehouse in the Dniprovskyi district.
In the morning, a Russian drone also struck a 22-story residential building in Kyiv’s Darnytskyi district. A fire broke out on the 12th floor.
