Poland to issue Safety Guide with instructions for war, disasters, and chaos

This fall, every Polish household will receive a Safety Guide. It will cover not only military threats but also general dangers, this was announced by Deputy Minister of National Defense Cezary Tomczyk, according to PAP.
"Following the example of countries like Sweden and Finland, such a guide, an indispensable book, will now be available to Poles as well. It will be more of a brochure dedicated not only to military threats but to threats in general. (...) Not just issues related to military conflict, but also floods and other dangers," said Tomczyk.
He noted that there is currently too little information on how to act in an emergency. The public has lost the ability to recognize, for example, whether the sound of sirens signals a real threat, a test, or a commemoration related to state ceremonies.
According to him, the guide will be delivered to mailboxes and will also be available in digital format. Its distribution will be accompanied by a media campaign.
The guide will include information on how to survive during the first 72 hours of a crisis.
Poland is preparing for war
Recently, it was reported that Poland may introduce mandatory military training due to the growing threat from Russia. The military training is expected to involve all segments of the population.
At the same time, the head of Poland’s National Security Bureau, Dariusz Łukowski, stated that the country would be able to defend itself against an enemy attack for one to two weeks. This timeframe is critical for NATO allies to arrive with support.
Interestingly, Poland’s Ministry of the Interior and Administration has also urged citizens to stock up on supplies for three days of autonomous survival. This recommendation is aimed at preparing for potential crisis situations.
