Poland scrambles fighter jets after Russian strike on Ukraine

Poland scrambled its air force on the night of September 3 due to Russia’s massive shelling of Ukraine, according to the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces.
It is noted that to ensure the security of Polish airspace amid Russia’s strikes on targets located in Ukraine during the night of September 2–3, 2025, the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces activated all necessary procedures.
Polish and allied aircraft are actively operating in Polish airspace, while ground-based air defense and radar recognition systems have reached the highest state of readiness.
"These measures are of a preventive nature and are aimed at protecting the airspace and citizens, especially in areas adjacent to the risk zone," the statement reads.
It is noted that the Operational Command continues to monitor the current situation, while its subordinate forces and assets remain in full readiness for immediate response.

On the evening of September 2, Russian terrorists once again launched a massive drone attack against Ukraine.
