Polish President Karol Nawrocki will travel to Berlin and Paris. He will discuss the incident with Russian drones that entered Poland, Polish Radio reports citing the head of the Polish president’s chancellery, Zbigniew Bogucki.

According to him, Nawrocki is changing the schedule of foreign visits. On Tuesday, September 16, he will visit Berlin, and later the same day, he will fly to Paris.

The program of visits has been supplemented with the topic of Russian drones that violated Polish airspace on September 10.

“This is a conversation with our allies, but it is also a broader conversation: this is, of course, military security and cooperation within NATO in order to respond to the Russian threat,” said the head of the Polish president’s office.

In addition to security topics, the president also plans to discuss reparations and international trade in Berlin.

Russian drones in Poland

During the nighttime Russian attack on Ukraine on September 10, several Russian drones entered Poland. A total of 16 drone fragments that crossed the border during the attack on Ukraine were found on Polish territory.

Prime Minister Donald Tusk reported that the country’s airspace was violated at least 19 times.

Due to the incident, NATO for the first time activated Article 4 of the Alliance in response to the intrusion of Russian drones into Poland.

In Poland, Operation Eastern Sentry was launched a few days after the incident.
