In Russia’s Krasnodar Krai, a pipeline was damaged at one of the terminals following a drone incident. Russian authorities claim the damage was caused by “debris” from the drones, according to ASTRA.

The consequences of drone strikes on infrastructure facilities continue to be recorded in Russia.

Another incident occurred in the Temryuk district of Russia’s Krasnodar Krai, where a fire broke out after a pipeline was damaged.

Russian authorities insist the damage was caused by falling drone fragments.

Pipeline damage and fire

According to the regional operations headquarters, alleged drone debris damaged a pipeline at one of the terminals in the settlement of Khvylya.

The incident triggered a fire, with the blaze reportedly covering about 100 square meters. Authorities said there were no casualties.

Response from Russian authorities

Emergency services reported that the situation had been contained, but provided no details on the extent of the damage or potential consequences for the terminal’s operations.

Such restrained wording has also been used in other cases involving strikes on infrastructure facilities inside Russia.

Claims of drone attacks

Earlier, Russia’s Defense Ministry claimed that 35 Ukrainian drones had attacked various regions of the country.

The ministry separately stated that six drones were allegedly aimed at Russia-annexed Crimea. Ukraine has not officially commented on these claims.

Separately, on Sunday, December 21, 2025, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer met with US President Donald Trump in Florida, where the sides discussed possible formats and steps toward achieving peace in Ukraine.

Russian authorities are seeking to maintain control over the key Arctic logistics artery, the Northern Sea Route, concentrating the country’s entire nuclear icebreaker fleet in the region for the first time.
