The photo of the Ukrainian soldier, on whose body the occupiers burned the inscription "Glory to Russia", is real. This is one of the defenders who was returned to Ukraine during the previous exchange, reports the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Andrii Yusov, on the air of the "United News" telethon.

According to him, the doctor took the photo at the regional medical center while examining the released defender. The body of the soldier has numerous scars and traces of torture. The photo was shared by "Clash Report."

The HUR emphasizes that 90% of the released Ukrainian soldiers testify to systematic violations by the Russian Federation - inhuman conditions of detention, lack of food, and medical care. Critical weight loss is also recorded in Ukrainian prisoners, which is significantly different from the condition in which Russian soldiers are returned home.

Russia not only systematically tortures Ukrainian prisoners of war, but also distributes special instructions describing "effective" torture methods. This was stated by the representative of the NGU "Azov," Nestor Barchuk. According to the UN, more than 95% of prisoners are tortured.

Previously, we reported one of the most cruel cases of torture of Ukrainians in Russian captivity - the murdered journalist Viktoriia Roshchyna. The exact cause of her death has not yet been established. However, it is known that her body was returned to her homeland without some internal organs and with signs of torture.
