Agents of Atesh carried out a successful sabotage operation in Russia's Moscow region, striking an element of the air defense system of the 5th Air Defense Division within the missile troops of the Russian Aerospace Forces.
This was reported by the Telegram channel of the Atesh partisan movement.
Atesh noted that the tower served as a communications and command point for a unit of the Russian armed forces.
It provided secure radio relay communications for the operative exchange of information and orders between command and subordinate air defense units.
The tower also housed electronic intelligence and signal interception equipment, which is critical for intelligence gathering and overall situational control in the region.
"The destruction of this communications hub weakens air defense capabilities in central Russia. Disrupted coordination, command, and the loss of intelligence data make the entire system less effective and more vulnerable," the partisans said.
Successful Atesh sabotage operations
Recently, an agent of the Atesh partisan movement carried out a successful sabotage operation, destroying a communications tower in Kursk.
Earlier, Atesh partisans disrupted Russia's railway logistics on the Kupiansk axis by destroying a diesel locomotive used to transport military cargo, primarily to supply the Kupiansk grouping of Russian forces.
The destruction of the locomotive complicated the formation of train convoys and disrupted schedules for shipments of weapons and equipment.
Atesh agents also carried out another sabotage operation in Russia's Rostov region, paralyzing a key railway supply hub for the Russian army near Rostov-on-Don.
As a result of arson attacks on relay cabinets, the operation of the main logistics hub was disrupted, cutting supply routes used to support occupying forces across all southern directions.
