Pantsir-S1, drone launch site and more: Ukraine’s Forces strike key Russian targets

On October 8 and during the night of October 9, Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck a Pantsir-S1 surface-to-air missile and gun system, a drone launch site, and facilities supporting the Russian army, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
In the Kudepsta area of Russia’s Krasnodar Krai, Ukrainian forces struck a Pantsir-S1 surface-to-air missile and gun system.
Near Donetsk, Ukrainian troops hit a site used to store, prepare and launch attack drones, as well as a Russian unit’s command and observation post.
Ukrainian troops also targeted enemy logistics facilities. Ammunition and supply depots belonging to Russian units were hit near Rubizhne, Sentiankivka and Luhansk in the Luhansk region, as well as near Vesеlе in the Donetsk region.
In addition, a Russian field depot for fuel and lubricants was hit near Stroitel in Russia’s Belgorod region.
Recent strikes on Russian facilities
On the night of October 9, Ukrainian drones struck a Yandex data center in Kaluga.
The Ukhta Oil Refinery was also attacked in the Komi Republic. The facility produces about 4.2 million tonnes of oil per year.
The Defense Forces also attacked a plant in Russia’s Tver region — the Redkino Experimental Plant.
It produces fuel components for Kh-55 and Kh-101 cruise missiles, as well as additives for diesel fuel and aviation kerosene.
