Overnight drone attack from seven directions: Ukraine's air defenses repel most Russian targets

On the night of June 27, Russia attacked Ukraine with 129 strike drones from seven directions. The air defense forces managed to shoot down the majority of the enemy drones, according to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The enemy attacked with Shahed-type drones (including jet-powered ones), Gerbera, Italmas, and Parodiya decoy drones from the directions of Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), Hvardiiske (temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea), and temporarily occupied Donetsk.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, as of 08:30 am (Kyiv time), air defense had shot down or suppressed 113 enemy drones, including Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types, in the north, south, and east of the country.
Hits by 13 strike drones were recorded at seven locations, while debris from downed drones fell at three locations.
"The attack is ongoing, enemy drones remain in the airspace. Follow safety rules!" the Air Force warned.
Attack on Ukraine
Late in the evening of June 26, the Russians continued attacks on Zaporizhzhia after attacking the city earlier in the day.
As a result of the new attack, there were casualties in the city, and further destruction was recorded, including:
- A fire broke out on the territory of one of the industrial enterprises;
- A gas station was hit, causing a fire and damage;
- Two residential buildings were damaged.
