Over the past day, September 1, 182 combat clashes were recorded along the front line. The situation remains tense, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

"The situation at the front remains difficult. The enemy, taking advantage of its superiority in manpower and equipment, continues to relentlessly attack our positions. Ukrainian defenders are holding their ground firmly, inflicting significant losses on the enemy," the General Staff reported.

Additionally, during the day, the Defense Forces' aviation, missile forces, and artillery carried out 15 strikes on concentrations of enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment, as well as on two air defense systems.

Frontline situation

  • In the Kharkiv direction, seven combat clashes were recorded near Vovchansk and Lyptsi.
  • In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy launched 16 attacks. Assaults near Synkivka and Hlushkivka were repelled.
  • In the Lyman direction, Russians attacked 18 times, trying to advance near Makiivka, Hrekivka, Novosadove, Nevske, and Torske.
  • In the Siversk direction, nine attacks were repelled near Verkhnokamianske and Rozdolivka.
  • In the Kramatorsk direction, eight attacks occurred near Andriivka, Klishchiivka, Maiske, and Markove.
  • In the Toretsk direction, the Russians, supported by aviation, attacked 20 times near Toretsk and Nelipivka.
  • In the Pokrovsk direction, 63 assault and offensive attacks were repelled near Vozdvyzhenka, Zelene Pole, Kalynove, Hrodivka, Novohrodivka, Karlivka, Marynivka, and Mykhailivka. The biggest concentration of enemy attacks was in the Novohrodivka area.
  • In the Kurakhove direction, the Defense Forces repelled 25 attacks in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Kostiantynivka, and Heorhiivka.
  • In the Vremivka direction, the enemy carried out 14 attacks on our positions near Vodiane, Kostiantynivka, and Makarivka.
  • In the Prydniprovsk direction, two attempts by the occupiers to seize our positions were unsuccessful.

Russian losses

Over the past day, the enemy's losses at the front amounted to 1,300 personnel. Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, they have lost more than 617,000 soldiers. Additionally, yesterday, Ukrainian forces forces destroyed:

  • 9 tanks;
  • 26 armored fighting vehicles, and more.
