Over 100 dead in Texas floods, search continues

In the US state of Texas, the death toll from flooding has risen to at least 104 people, reports CNN.
Among the victims are at least 28 children, and another 24 people are reported missing. According to the latest data, the death toll in Kerr County alone has reached 84. Overall, the situation is as follows:
- Kerr County: 84 dead, 11 missing
- Travis County: 7 dead, 10 missing
- Burnet County: 4 dead, 2 missing
- Kendall County: 6 dead
- Williamson County: 2 dead, 1 missing
- Tom Green County: 1 dead
Texas Governor Greg Abbott stated that over 20 state agencies are responding to the floods across Texas. Rescue teams continue searching for dozens of missing people.
Flood in Texas
The flood in Texas began on the morning of July 4. In Kerr County, water levels rose 8 to 9 meters in just 45 minutes.
At the Mystic summer camp, which hosted 700 people, dozens died or went missing. Ten girls and a camp counselor remain missing.
US President Donald Trump declared a state of emergency and announced that federal aid to the state would be extended.
Meanwhile, on July 7, local authorities reported that water levels began rising again due to heavy rains.
