OSCE Permanent Council supports Ukraine amid Russian terror, says Ukrainian FM

The OSCE Permanent Council convened an emergency session in response to the intensifying Russian strikes on Ukraine. Members of the council expressed their support for Ukraine, said Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.
"Today in Vienna, a special OSCE Permanent Council meeting in response to Russian terror demonstrated strong support for Ukraine. Despite its desperate efforts, Russia will not escape responsibility for the war crimes and atrocities committed in Ukraine," the minister said.
Sybiha said that Ukraine’s partners, from Finland to Australia and Japan, took a principled stance, strongly condemning the escalation of Russian terror. They also emphasized that there is no alternative to ending Russia’s aggression.
The Foreign Minister added that Ukraine highly values such broad support and solidarity and is grateful for the condolences for the families of victims of Russian attacks.
Emergency OSCE Council session
Sybiha noted that on September 8, Finland, at Ukraine’s request, urgently convened the OSCE Permanent Council.
He emphasized that the session was intended as a response to Russia’s massive strikes on Ukraine, which have resulted in a significant number of civilian casualties.
