US President Donald Trump has ramped up threats against Iran, once again calling on the country to open the Strait of Hormuz, citing his post on Truth Social.

Trump has repeatedly threatened Iran and set deadlines, but today he chose to speak more harshly.

This time, he hinted that on Tuesday, he would bomb power plants and bridges in Iran, writing that the day would become “Power Plant Day and Bridge Day.” He then added profanity.

“There will be nothing like it (referring to the upcoming strikes – ed.)!!! Open the F***** (Hormuz – ed.) Strait, you crazy b*******, or you'll be living in Hell — just watch! Praise be to Allah,” Trump said.

Trump and the Strait of Hormuz

US president Donald Trump has repeatedly said that he intends to end the war against Iran within two to three weeks. He made it clear that he could do this even without opening the Strait of Hormuz, since the US does not depend on it.

At the same time, he contradicts himself in various statements, calling on Iran to open the Strait after all. For example, yesterday, April 4, he announced on social media that he is once again giving Iran 48 hours to open the Strait. Otherwise, the country will face consequences.

A day earlier, on April 3, Trump wrote that the US would have no problem opening the Strait of Hormuz, taking Iranian oil, and making a fortune.

Despite Trump’s threats and inconsistency, US intelligence believes that Iran is unlikely to open the Strait in the near future.
