One person was killed in the massive Russian strike on Kyiv, according to the Kyiv city military administration head, Tymur Tkachenko.

Kyiv city military administration head Tymur Tkachenko wrote that there was, unfortunately, the first fatality from the overnight Russian attack, with preliminary reports indicating the victim was a man.

As of 4:45 AM Kyiv time, five people were reported injured, Mayor Vitali Klitschko said.

Additional damage was recorded in Dnipro, Solomianskyi, Darnytskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi districts. Preliminary reports indicated destruction to private houses, offices, and non-residential buildings.

Earlier, Mayor Klitschko reported that in the Dnipro district, debris struck a three-storey office building and the grounds of a kindergarten, while a high-rise residential building was on fire.

In Shevchenkivskyi district, a residential building was burning, and a non-residential property was damaged. In the Solomianskyi district, a private house caught fire.
