Today, on May 21, Ukraine and the world celebrate Vyshyvanka Day. Traditionally, Volodymyr and Olena Zelenska posted a joint photo wearing embroidered shirts, according to fashion editor Kateryna Sobkova.

The First Lady chose a shirt that combines high fashion, traditional meaning, and modern elegance.

The Vyshyvanka features a loose silhouette with expressive voluminous raglan sleeves, which gently gather at the cuffs. The neckline is designed with a round cut, a delicate blue trim, and thin tassel ties.
Ornament and symbolism
The main feature of the look is a rich embroidery in deep blue tones, densely covering the sleeves.
This authentic pattern carries a deep symbolic meaning: it represents the endless continuation of family lineage, a strong connection between generations, family prosperity, abundance, and protection of the family.
