On the night of Monday, May 12, the Russian army attacked Bilhorod-Dnistrovsk, Odesa region, with drones. The infrastructure was damaged, and there is also a wounded person, according to the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) in Odesa region.

According to Kiper, the strike on Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi caused damage to civilian infrastructure:

  • residential buildings;
  • administrative building;
  • fire station.

A man was injured in one of the damaged private houses. Medics provided him with all the necessary assistance.

"All authorized services are working to eliminate the consequences of the enemy attack; law enforcement officers are recording the consequences of another Russian crime against the civilian population of the Odesa region," said Kiper.

According to the State Emergency Service, the windows were smashed, and the ceiling was damaged. Fortunately, the rescuers were not injured.

The SES involved two vehicles and 11 firefighters.

Night attack by drones

As reported by the Air Force, on the night of Monday, May 12, the Russian army attacked the territory of Ukraine with 108 Shahed-type attack drones. Four regions of the country were targeted.

Also, today, the Russian army conducted a drone strike on the railway infrastructure in the Donetsk region. According to preliminary reports, a driver sustained a shrapnel wound to his leg as a result of the strike on the locomotive. His life is currently not in danger, and he was promptly treated and hospitalized.
