Occupiers distribute humanitarian aid in exchange for membership card of United Russia party People on occupied territories are enticed to receive a United Russia party membership card

In the temporarily occupied territories (TOT) of the Donetsk region, Russian occupiers promise humanitarian aid to pensioners in exchange for a membership card of Vladimir Putin's party United Russia, according to the National Resistance Center (NRC).

It is noted that the occupiers have triggered a humanitarian crisis in TOT, where people lack funds for living, and now they are attempting to buy those who are dependent on them. In particular, with the help of pensioners, the occupation administration plans to recruit people into Vladimir Putin's party.

"This is necessary for the elections of the President of the Russian Federation, as it is another piece in the preparation for this propaganda farce. According to the logic of the occupier, future party members should ensure the appearance of attendance at several open polling stations," the statement says.

Elections of the president of the Russian Federation in temporarily occupied territories

On December 8, 2023, Vladimir Putin announced his intention to be re-elected as the President of the Russian Federation for the fifth time.

Winning the elections would allow him to remain in power at least until 2030.

According to the decision of the Russian Central Election Commission, the presidential elections in Russia will last three days for the first time, from March 15 to 17. This includes the so-called elections that terrorists plan to conduct in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
