How rescuers battled the fire
The firefighting operation was extremely difficult and dangerous due to the constant threat of follow-up strikes. As a result, emergency crews were forced to repeatedly suspend their work and take shelter.

Russian strikes on Kramatorsk
Earlier today, July 16, Russian occupying forces struck a Nova Poshta branch (postal service) in Kramatorsk with a guided aerial bomb.
The attack on the civilian facility sparked a fire, and emergency services were immediately dispatched to the scene.
It was not the first such strike on the city in recent weeks. On July 10, Russian aircraft carried out another deadly raid, dropping seven guided bombs on the Kramatorsk community.
Kramatorsk and the settlement of Bilenke came under attack, with Russian forces deliberately targeting civilian infrastructure. Several civilians were killed in that strike, including a teenager.
