In Kyiv, following a nighttime attack on September 2, debris was reported to have fallen in all districts of the capital. The number of injured has risen to three, according to the Kyiv police.

There were no fatalities in the attack, but three people were injured:

  • A 32-year-old man;
  • A 19-year-old woman;
  • A 24-year-old man.

Debris was recorded falling in all districts of the capital, with damage reported to:

  • A boiler room of an educational institution;
  • The entrance of a residential building;
  • A metro station.

"Debris was also found on the premises of two kindergartens in the Desnianskyi and Dniprovskyi districts, and five cars were damaged," added the Kyiv police.

According to Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko, as cited by the Kyiv City Military Administration, windows in two schools in the Shevchenkivskyi and Sviatoshynskyi districts were also damaged in the attack.

"Utility workers are quickly repairing the damage. The educational process in these schools has started," Klychko added.

Overnight shelling of Ukraine on September 2

During the night, the enemy once again attacked Ukraine with missiles and drones. In total, terrorists launched 35 missiles and 23 UAVs.

Air defense forces managed to destroy:

  • 9 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles;
  • 13 Kh-101 cruise missiles;
  • 20 Shahed-131/136 strike drones.

Additionally, one more enemy missile and drone were lost in action.

According to Refat Chubarov, head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, the Islamic Cultural Center building was also damaged during the attack on Kyiv.
