Novatek plant in Russia closed due to drone attacks
The Novatek plant on the Baltic Sea coast has suspended operations after a drone attack, according to Bloomberg.
According to RBC-Ukraine's sources, the explosions at the marine terminal in the village of Ust-Luga in the Leningrad region of Russia are a special operation of the Security Service of Ukraine.
The plant is known to process stable gas condensate into oil and ship petroleum products to foreign markets and is located in the coastal zone, next to a specialized terminal where products are stored.
According to the media, the gas condensate processing plant in Ust-Luga has suspended all technological operations.
Attack on the marine terminal in Ust-Luga, Russia
On the night of January 21, an explosion occurred near the oil terminal of the Commercial Sea Port in the village of Ust-Luga, Leningrad Region. Residents of nearby towns near the port reported the sounds of flying drones. Later, a fire broke out. About 150 people had to be evacuated from the enterprise.
It is worth noting that it was "loud" in Russia that night, January 21, not only in the area of the oil terminal. In addition, explosions were heard in the Russian city of Tula, where the Shcheglovsky Val plant for the production of Pantsyr air defense systems was attacked.
