Not only Czechia and Poland. Ukraine offers assistance to European countries due to floods
Today, a large part of Europe is affected by bad weather. Ukraine has offered its assistance to several countries, states Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.
“Ukraine stands in solidarity with its neighbors who are suffering from the devastating floods,” Sybiha emphasized.
He explained that on the instructions of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and under the coordination of Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, the Foreign Ministry offered assistance to several countries. Among them, in particular:
- Moldova,
- Poland,
- Romania,
- Slovakia,
- Hungary
- Czech Republic.
According to Sybiha, Ukraine may send units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine to help with the disaster.
Bad weather in Europe
Today, September 15, Europe was hit by bad weather.
Snow has fallen in parts of Austria, while floods are reported in other regions. The same situation has been reported in several other European countries.
A number of flights were canceled due to flooding in Poland and the Czech Republic. This also applies to trains heading to Ukraine.
Ukraine has volunteered to help the Czech Republic in dealing with the consequences of the floods. In addition, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk also thanked Ukraine for the offered assistance.
