Maryinka is one of the hottest spots on the front line. The enemy is actively attacking with the help of aviation, says the spokesman for Tavria the operational-strategic group, Dmytro Lykhoviy.

During the current day, according to Lykhoviy, Russians attempted to break through in the Maryinka direction 31 times. This part of the front is currently the hottest.

He has noted that the focus should not only be in the Avdiivka direction, as currently, the Maryinka direction is "at the forefront." According to him, it is also hot in the Avdiivka direction - the Defense Forces repelled seven enemy assaults during the day.

The majority of the attacks by the Russian army with aviation, artillery, and kamikaze drones fall precisely in the Avdiivka and Maryinka directions, the spokesman for the Tavria operational-strategic group emphasizes.

"It is worth noting that the situation is dynamic. Our troops successfully restored several positions yesterday both in the Avdiivka and Maryinka directions. In the Avdiivka direction, more than a dozen Russian occupiers surrendered or were captured," Lykhoviy says.

Capture of Avdiivka

On February 17, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi announced the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from Avdiivka due to the threat of encirclement by the enemy. The reason was the storming actions of Russian forces in the city and the reinforcement of aviation.

According to the Institute for the Study of War, Ukrainian troops will be able to establish new defensive lines near Avdiivka and stop the enemy's advance.

On February 18, Russian forces attempted to storm the village of Lastoschkyne west of Avdiivka, but Ukrainian defense forces repelled 14 attacks.

Military expert Oleksii Hetman believes that the collapse of the front near Avdiivka is unlikely. According to Deep State maps, there are certain successes of the enemy near Lastochkyne to the west of Avdiivka.

The situation on the front as of February 22 has been published. Ukrainian troops remain in control of positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River, repelling attacks by Russian forces near Orlivka in the Donetsk region and inflicting significant losses on the enemy's logistics center.
