The sci-fi series Pluribus has become the most popular project in the entire history of Apple TV. And this is even before viewers have seen all the episodes of the first season.

Apple TV announced the series' success on its page on X (Twitter).

What is known about Pluribus

The series has surpassed all previous platform hits, including the second season of Severance, which was previously considered Apple TV's main dramatic success. Apple has not specified the exact criteria for the record, but it refers to the total number of views over a short period of time.

The lead role in the project is played by Rhea Seehorn, known for the series Better Call Saul. This is her first major collaboration with Vince Gilligan since the conclusion of iconic projects such as Breaking Bad and the Better Call Saul series.

According to the plot, Seehorn's character finds herself in a world where most people have lost their individuality and become part of a collective mind. The series gradually immerses viewers in an atmosphere of anxiety and entrapment, which has become the main topic of discussion.

Despite high critical acclaim, audience reactions have been more mixed. Some viewers criticize Pluribus for its slow pacing. Viewer ratings hover around 68% compared to 98% from critics, but this has not stopped the series from achieving record viewership.

In the post about Pluribus' success, a short video clip from the series was shared, a fireworks scene from a previous episode. It has become the unofficial symbol of the show’s success.

The first season will consist of nine episodes, two of which have not yet been released. The series was renewed for a second season almost immediately after the premiere, but fans will have to wait for the continuation. According to preliminary estimates, the second season is unlikely to premiere before the end of 2027.
