Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide arrived in Kyiv on March 26. He was accompanied by Minister of Labor and Integration Tonje Brenna, according to Eide.

“Today, I am in Ukraine with my colleague, Danish Minister of Labour and Inclusion, Tonje Brenna. We are here to express Norway’s steadfast support and long-term partnership with the people of Ukraine at a critical juncture,” the Foreign Minister wrote.

Espen Barth Eide has already visited Ukraine, and this is the first visit to Kyiv during Russia's full-scale invasion for the Minister of Labour and Inclusion. It is noted that Eide and Brenna will meet with Ukrainian colleagues and see the results of Norway's assistance.

The Norwegian Foreign Minister said in an interview with NRK before he visits Ukraine that, last but not least, they would look at how they could contribute to the negotiations taking place in Saudi Arabia

According to Eide, it is very important that those who are negotiating realize that Russia is extremely good at manipulation. The minister also believes that the US was a little bit too early to proclaim an agreement that was not as mutually acceptable as some people thought at first.

He noted that Norway can provide Ukraine with advice on how to behave in negotiations.

Eide added that there was a lot of work going on in Europe at that time regarding possible contributions to monitoring a potential deal, and that he had rarely seen such activity around Ukraine in Europe as they were seeing then

Last week, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited Finland, where he held a series of meetings with the country's President, Prime Minister, and parliamentarians.

After that, Zelenskyy visited Norway. There he met with Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre and ministers.
