Norway joins drone coalition for Ukraine

Norway has joined the drone coalition for Ukraine, which will enhance military support and help protect critical infrastructure, according to the website of the Norwegian government.
Norwegian Minister of Defense, Tore O. Sandvik, stated that Norway has already made a significant contribution to the acquisition and development of drones.
The Minister stated that it is natural for Norway to also become a member of the drone coalition that has been established.
He emphasized that Ukraine has a strong need for more military equipment to defend against Russian aggression, noting that drones and drone technologies are essential for both protecting critical infrastructure and for use on the front lines.
Norway is joining the drone coalition created in the fall of 2023, which aims to coordinate and align efforts to strengthen Ukraine's combat capabilities in the short term, as well as build long-term defense and deterrence capabilities.
Last month, Ukraine and Norway agreed to strengthen defense cooperation.
