Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that North Korea has provided Russia not only with weapons but also with personnel. This effectively involves the DPRK in the war alongside Moscow.

"North Korea is now part of the coalition of criminals alongside Putin—the Kim family, which holds more than twenty million of the Korean people in slavery," said the head of state.

According to Zelenskyy, Ukrainian intelligence is monitoring not only the transfer of weapons from North Korea to Russia but also the transfer of people.

"These are workers for Russian factories—replacing Russians killed in the war. And personnel for the Russian army. This is effectively the involvement of a second state in the war against Ukraine on Russia's side," emphasized the President of Ukraine.

Cooperation between the DPRK and Russia

Earlier, North Korea provided Russia with missiles of its production and a large supply of ammunition. However, both sides are trying to conceal this.

In recent weeks, Western media have reported that North Korea has also sent its soldiers to engage in the war against Ukraine. During a parliamentary hearing, south Korean Defense Minister Kim Yong-gun hinted at this possibility.

Sources from RBC-Ukraine reported that on October 3, over 20 occupiers were eliminated near Donetsk, among whom were military personnel from North Korea.

According to Western media, North Korean soldiers are undergoing training in Russia, and by the end of the year, several thousand DPRK troops may find themselves in Ukraine. Sources from RBC-Ukraine indicate that the Russian army is forming a "special Buryat battalion" of North Korean soldiers based in the 11th separate airborne assault brigade.
