North Korea may send more troops and equipment to Russia - Zelenskyy
North Korea may increase military assistance to Russia, including sending more troops and equipment, stated President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to him, during today's meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, there was a report by the Chief of Ukrainian Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi. He provided updates on the situation at the front and the Kursk operation.
"There are risks of sending additional soldiers and military equipment to the Russian army from North Korea, and we will respond decisively to this," Zelenskyy emphasized.
He added that, according to preliminary data, the number of killed and wounded North Koreans in the Kursk region is more than 3,000 soldiers.
The President noted that the risk of destabilization around the Korean Peninsula and neighboring regions is growing in proportion to the strengthening ties between Moscow and Pyongyang. It is important for the world to understand this connection.
"The transfer of modern warfare experience and military technology from Russia is a global threat. For the world, the cost of restoring stability is always much higher than the price of effective pressure on those who destabilize and destroy lives," Zelenskyy stated.
South Korean intelligence data
Earlier, South Korean intelligence reported that North Korea was preparing to send new soldiers to Russia. Pyongyang also plans to supply additional equipment to Russia, including kamikaze drones.
At the same time, the intelligence service clarified that the losses of North Korea in the war against Ukraine are estimated at 1,100 people (it isn't specified whether this refers to killed or wounded).
At the end of October, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine noted that about 12,000 North Korean soldiers had been deployed to Russia.
