Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 undermining is off topic - Swedish Prime Minister
The issue of the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines being blown up has been finally closed after an investigation, states the Prime Minister of Sweden, Ulf Kristersson.
Speaking about sabotage by the Russian Federation, the journalist recalled that in 2022 there was an attack on the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, after which Sweden investigated the attack and then closed it.
When asked whether the Prime Minister could say anything about the findings of this investigation, Kristersson refused to comment.
"No, I can't," the prime minister said.
The journalist noted that such an answer could lead people to believe that there is some kind of cover-up going on and clarified whether this was fair.
"We had a formal investigation because it happened not on Swedish territory but in the Swedish economic zone. That was pretty traditionally done, and they concluded they could not blame someone for this. They didn’t have a case. So for us it’s closed," the Prime Minister emphasized.
During the investigation, declassified documents shed light on the role of the German government in promoting the Nord Stream 2 project.

It is worth noting that shortly after Sweden, Denmark also completed an investigation into the Nord Stream pipeline explosion.
Nord Streams
Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2, each of which consists of two pipes, were built by Russia's Gazprom to pump 110 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year to Germany. However, Nord Stream 2 was never put into operation due to the Russian invasion, and Nord Stream 1 was shut down by Gazprom in the summer of 2022.
Three of the four pipelines were blown up on September 26, 2022.
