Last night, the Russian army did not launch Shahed-type drones over Ukrainian territory. However, it carried out an attack using two Kh-59/69 guided air missiles, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.

At around 9:00 p.m. Kyiv time on Monday, March 31, the enemy launched an attack with two Kh-59/69 guided air missiles from tactical aviation aircraft in the Zaporizhzhia direction.

"Both missiles were shot down by air defense," Ukraine's Air Force reported.

Night without Shahed drones

Last night, for the first time in a long period, the Russian army did not launch Shahed-type UAVs over Ukrainian territory. This marked the first pause after continuous nightly attacks.

The previous such pause was recorded back in December 2024. At that time, the likely reason was poor weather conditions, which affect the range and trajectory of Shahed flights.

Earlier, on the night of March 31, the Russian army launched 131 attack drones and two ballistic missiles against Ukraine. As a result, Ukrainian defenders confirmed the downing of 57 attack drones. Another 45 enemy decoy drones were lost locally, without causing negative consequences. However, the Russian attack affected the Sumy, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Kyiv, and Zhytomyr regions.
