Russians attacked Kharkiv on the evening of October 2. As a result of the strike, a residential multi-story building was destroyed, and the city is experiencing power outages.

Evening strikes on Kharkiv

Late in the evening on October 2, explosions were heard in Kharkiv. The Russians struck the city with guided aerial bombs. In the Saltivskyi district, a five-story residential building was hit.

The attack caused a fire in the building as the Russian bomb struck between the third and fourth floors. Nearby buildings, a clinic, and at least 14 cars were also damaged.

As of the morning, according to the prosecutor’s office, 12 people were reported injured as a result of the strike on the building. Among the injured is a girl aged 3 years and 11 months. The oldest injured person is 73 years old.

According to Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, five people were hospitalized, with moderate and mild injuries.

Additionally, in the Shevchenkivsky district of Kharkiv, a strike hit a wooded area. Windows in two multi-story residential buildings were blown out due to the enemy attack.

The Russian army also carried out an airstrike on the village of Zolochiv in the Bohodukhiv district. At least 10 residential buildings and outbuildings were damaged. A 69-year-old woman experienced an acute stress reaction.

Night explosions

On the night of October 3, around 5:25 AM (Kyiv time), explosions were heard in Kharkiv. According to Mayor Ihor Terekhov, the explosions occurred in the nearby suburb. He warned of possible repeated strikes.

Terekhov also reported power outages in parts of Kharkiv due to damage to power transmission lines.

"As a result of the latest strike on the suburb, high-voltage power lines were damaged. Because of this, there may be power outages in some areas of Kharkiv," the mayor warned.

Drone attack

On this night, the Russians launched 105 strike drones on Ukraine. Launches were made from various directions. Air defense forces destroyed 78 "Shaheds." Air defense was active in 15 regions of Ukraine.

In addition, 23 enemy drones were lost in different regions of Ukraine. One drone flew toward Belarus.

The Russian troops attempted to attack Kyiv, where air defense systems were engaged. Debris was reported to have fallen in one of the city's districts.
