Russian troops attacked Ukrainian territory with S-300 surface-to-air guided missiles and kamikaze drones overnight on November 30, according to the Ukrainian Air Force on their Telegram channel.

"During the night of November 30, 2023, the enemy attacked with 20 Shahed-type UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) from two directions: the occupied Crimea and Primorsko-Akhtarsk of the Russian Federation. Additionally, the occupiers struck at Donetsk with eight S-300 surface-to-air guided missiles," the statement from the Ukrainian Air Force said.

The fighter jets, anti-aircraft missile units, and the Ukrainian Air Defense Forces mobile fire groups were engaged in repelling the aerial attack.

As a result of the combat operation, 14 Shahed UAVs were destroyed. The air defense system worked in the southern, eastern, and central regions.

Russian Federation intensifies strikes on Ukraine

In recent weeks, Russian forces have resumed mass attacks on Ukraine using missiles and kamikaze drones. For example, overnight on November 29, the Russians released 21 Shahed kamikaze drones and three Kh-59 cruise missiles over Ukrainian territory. Air defense forces successfully intercepted all UAVs and two missiles.

Furthermore, on November 28, Russians attacked the Khmelnytskyi region with drones. As a result of one of the UAVs being shot down by air defense forces, debris fell onto the roof of a private house. On the same night, occupiers launched a missile strike on Kryvyi Rih.

The day before, the Russian military shelled the residential sector of Nikopol. A woman was injured in the attack.

The Spokesperson of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yurii Ihnat, previously stated that the occupiers would likely start using drones more actively for strikes on Ukraine than missiles.
