During the latest combined strike on Ukraine, Russian forces heavily used ballistic missiles. Most of the enemy missiles were destroyed by Patriot systems, states Yurii Ihnat, head of the Communication Department of the Ukrainian Air Force Command.

“Today, you saw massive use of ballistic missiles – 18 ballistic missiles, plus a Zircon that attacked Vinnytsia, a critical infrastructure site. 14 of the 18 missiles targeting the capital were shot down. Clearly, the Patriot system was operating, and this is a very, very high result for ballistic defense,” Ihnat emphasized.

He added that air defense units were able to destroy 13 of 15 cruise missiles, while two were lost on radar, as well as 315 of 339 enemy drones.

“We keep emphasizing: even if 85% or 90% are shot down, the remaining 15%, 10%, or 20% that get through still hit targets somewhere. Every day, there are 100–150 Shaheds. Then we have combined attacks, and two, three, or four missiles still strike somewhere, and our energy workers have to restore everything,” he added.
