Night drone attack: Fire in Khmelnytskyi region and damaged house
On the night of November 22 in the Khmelnytskyi region, Ukrainian air defense forces successfully intercepted and downed Russian UAVs, commonly known as Shahed drones. One of the fragments fell onto a private property, sparking a fire, according to the first deputy chief of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Military Administration, Serhii Tyurin.
The air defense was activated during the air raid alert in Khmelnytskyi, resulting in one of the downed Shahed drones crashing into the courtyard of a private residence.
"The fragments of one of the downed Shahed drones fell into the courtyard of a private residence in the Khmelnytskyi region, where a non-residential economic structure was affected. A fire broke out. The State Emergency Service and other relevant services are working at the scene," wrote Serhii Tyurin on his Facebook page.
According to the deputy chief, there were no casualties or injuries resulting from the incident.
"The main thing is that there are no injuries or fatalities. Thanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine for defending the sky over the Khmelnytskyi region," Tyurin added.
Night attack
On November 21, residents of the Khmelnytskyi region reported hearing explosions caused by the Russian Shahed drones. Later, Tyurin clarified that it was the work of Ukrainian air defense forces.
Additionally, on November 18, explosions were heard in the Khmelnytskyi region as well. According to Tyurin, the activity was attributed to the actions of Ukrainian air defense forces, and fortunately, there were no casualties or damage reported.
