Russian troops attacked Kyiv from the air for the sixth time in a month, reports Kyiv city war administration.

The Chief of the Kyiv Military Administration Serhiy Popko compared the enemy's tactics to those of May 2023.

"Judging by the weapons used, the enemy seems to have returned to the tactics of May 2023. Back then, the Russians were constantly changing, combining, and alternating the types of air defenses. Kyiv residents experienced the same scenario in the first half of December," Popko wrote.

During the attack, Russian troops used attack drones, cruise missiles from strategic bombers, Iskanders, and Kinzhals. All of them flew to Kyiv, taking turns.

On the night of December 16, Russian troops launched Shaheds at the capital. The air defense forces shot everything down.

"UAVs attacked in groups, in waves, and in different directions. All enemy targets were destroyed by air defense forces and means," Popko said.

According to the head of the Kyiv Military Administration, Russians intensified air strikes on the capital of Ukraine.

"No one was injured as a result of air defense and falling debris in the city.
The enemy has intensified air strikes on the main city of the country. Therefore, I ask all Kyiv residents not to ignore air raid warnings and always follow safety rules! Take care of yourself and your family!" Popko added.
