Overnight on December 6, Russian troops attacked Kyiv region, including the city of Fastiv. Rescuers from the State Emergency Service (DSNS) have shared photos showing the aftermath of the strikes.

According to the DSNS, the Fastiv, Vyshhorod, and Bucha districts were under heavy shelling throughout the night. Three people were injured.

In Fastiv, fires broke out and destruction was reported at the railway station and the motor-vehicle depot.

In the village of Novi Petrivtsi, a warehouse covering 5,500 square meters caught fire after drone debris struck the building.

The same village saw three cargo trucks set ablaze, one residential building destroyed, and six more houses damaged.

In the village of Nezhylovychi in Bucha district, a private building caught fire and was damaged.

Emergency teams continue to work on clearing the aftermath of the attacks.

Kyiv region hit in overnight attack: three people injured

On the night of December 6, Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine using drones, ballistic missiles, and Kinzhal missiles.

During the combined assault, explosions were heard in Kyiv. Local authorities reported air defense operations, while the Air Forces confirmed flights of Kinzhal and ballistic missiles targeting the capital.

Fastiv was among the areas struck. According to Ukrzaliznytsia, railway infrastructure was hit, prompting operational changes to passenger train routes that were scheduled to pass through the city.

It is believed the railway station in Fastiv was hit. There are also reports of severe fires in Novi Petrivtsi, near Kyiv.

Three people were injured as a result of the drone and missile attacks on Kyiv region.

According to the regional military administration, a 46-year-old woman in Vyshhorod district was hospitalized with shrapnel injuries to her arm, chest, and back, as well as a closed cervical spine injury.

Another woman, 40, sustained a laceration to her cheek.

In Fastiv, a 42-year-old man was wounded with a laceration to his left shin.
