The modern Ukrainian agricultural market is shaping a new model of grain trading in which operational efficiency and logistics speed play a key role. One example of this model is Arista Trade, a company that has managed to enter the top five exporters of agricultural products from Ukraine, according to the specialized agribusiness outlet Latifundist, which highlights the company's success story.

According to the company's CEO, Mykhailo Voronych, one of its competitive advantages has been efficient logistics without excessive grain accumulation in storage facilities.

"We were practically the only ones who built a scheme where 4–5 barges stood simultaneously on the Danube, operating directly — without storage or accumulation — sailing to Constanța," he said.

In the port of Constanța, the grain was transferred onto large vessels using a floating crane.

"In Constanța, we had a floating crane that transferred the cargo directly from barges to large vessels of 40–50 thousand tons," Voronych noted.

This approach significantly reduced transshipment costs.

"Because of this, we saved on handling costs. In 2022–2023, the savings reached up to $8 per ton, simply because we avoided warehouse handling,” he explained.

According to him, logistics optimization became one of the key factors behind the company's rapid growth in the market.
